What is it with the Packers and their championship rings? Just last week, it was discovered that a front-office employee pawned their customized bling, leading to a dream-come-true scenario for one longtime fan. Now, another piece of commemorative hardware has turned up in a most bizarre facet. The Chicago Tribune reports that DEA officials recovered Green Bay’s Super Bowl XLV ring (along with the usuals: copious amounts of cash, weapons, and drugs) while busting up a Mexican drug trafficking organization on Monday. According to authorities, the ring was stolen from a team executive, though it remains unclear how it made its way to the trafficker’s hands.
